Term – Internet Transaction Fee
How These Internet Transaction Fees Appear on Statements –
Interchange Fee: 2% to 3.5% + $0.20 to $0.30 per transaction
Summary – The internet transaction fee is the fee a merchant would pay for eCommerce transactions. Interchange prices still must be paid unless a cash discount program is implemented into the virtual terminal. It is important to note that the internet transaction fee is not in addition to the interchange fee. Internet transactions are considered a bit more risky compared to card-present transactions as card holder data is easier to be compromised on the web according to the National Merchants Association.
